Our two Principals, Kevin Barnett and Bill Brown, the 65+ years of combined construction experience and began working together in 2011 to assemble the concrete polishing team, toolbox, and procedures we use today. Working for 3 years as second tier subcontractor, eventually decided to build floors the way wanted had on own. While other contractors seemed to racing each other bottom, wanted to focus on taking these world of polished concrete to next level. Meet Our Team

Bill BrownPrincipal

Bill is a Concrete Guru, having worked on well over a thousand unique concrete projects as President & CEO of Bill Brown Construction Company for the last 35 years. While managing a staff of over 100 people, he has provided decorative and structural concrete services for many Silicon Valley heads of industry and tech celebrities. His knowledge of concrete as a building material is virtually unmatched, and he continues to research, learn, and experiment with new innovations.

When he isn’t building boardform walls and designing innovative new ways to use concrete, he is catching trout in the Sierras or breaking ribs in his Tae Kwon Do class. Bill and his wife Dianne recently took a 3 week trip to South Africa to see some large animals and experience the culture. They spend about 15 weekends a year together at their hot springs near Bridgeport, CA.

Kevin BarnettPrincipal

Kevin is a 3rd generation constructor and serial builder with a CM background. As a Cal Poly SLO graduate, he spent his first 5 years out of school at a boutique Silicon Valley CM firm helping build Data Centers, Medical Device Manufacturing Labs, Office Tenant Improvements and other high tech facilities. He took the middle 6 months of 2011 off to travel, surf, eat, and explore the world. Along the way he came to the conclusion that he wanted to get back to actually building, not just managing, and as something that would good for planet.

When he isn’t helping build the World’s Finest Polished Concrete Floors you can find him searching the planet’s coastlines for waves and practicing Spanish. He is also an avid fisherman, snowboarder, hunter, husband, father, and cook. He is 6’5 and No, he doesn’t play basketball.

What do we do?

We build the Wold’s Finest Polished Concrete Floors. We spare no expense in tooling, materials, or time spent on each square foot of concrete to get the best look and longest lasting finish possible.

Why do we do it?

It is refreshing to build something you truly believe in! These floors are quite simply a wonderful product that prevent millions of pounds of waste from being created annually. One of the things that founder Kevin Barnett saw when first getting into construction was huge amounts of waste on most projects. He gained his LEED Accredited Professional badges and looked for ways to make construction better for the planet. On foreign shores he has witnessed the damage that overuse of plastics, pollution, and non reusable materials cause.

We gain supreme satisfaction in knowing that the floors we build last 50 years+ and will never have to be thrown away and replaced.
